I'm passionate about working with people who want to build hardware and just plain do things better. I've had the opportunity to play signifcant roles in manufacturing, engineering, sourcing and corporate strategy development. I'm currently engaged with supplier relationship management to establish strategic direct materials partners, but would really welcome a return to a more technical space where I can have greater impact.
In previous roles I've helped to define and implement long term strategic roadmaps for sourcing and manufacturing activities, chaired a sustaining engineering committee and mentored M.S. students in a variety of projects. I've also been in practical areas of the business like procurement and manufacturing engineering.
My background in engineering, manufacturing and mathematics helps me bridge the gaps and create in-roads to organizations. I believe the best teams combine a diversity of cultures and disciplines to successfully see past blind spots and accelerate the pace of innovation. With a broad base of experience, and the skills for deep execution, I want to become a force multiplier for progressive organizations looking to advance themselves.

I'm fortunate to have had started my passion in drafting, machine shop and welding classes at a vocational HS. My BS in engineering and MS in engineering management has allowed me to be a part of some incredible products over the years. I still use CAD regularly at home along with my 3D printer and metal working tools to solve problems around the house. I'm always looking for any opportunity to stay sharp and learn new things.

It has been a privilege to get to know hard working folks in manufacturing around the globe. I've worked and visited in dozens of countries and using a global perspective to drive local results is a specialty. I've authored 5-year strategic sourcing and manufacturing roadmaps to achieve significant cost savings and enhance the overall strategic supply base. I'm a certified auditor for ISO 13485:2016 and authored a shop-level guide to implementation of SPC for FDA regulated environments.

In previous roles I've directly managed technicians and engineers, as well as been the corporate sponsor for cohorts of engineering and MBA candidates. I firmly believe that the best solutions combine business and technical acumen and can be the difference between good ideas that never panned out and great ideas that really made a difference.
