My experience is a bit like building a house

 

My foundation is built on solid footing of manufacturing, machining, bending metal and programming industrial equipment in a production environment. The framing is built on organized principles of engineering, mathematics, and strategy development. The style and furnishing? It has a lot to do with whatever community I find myself a part of at the moment, which right now is robotics and technology communities helping to accelerate the pace of progress launching new fit for use platforms.    

What this means is I love working with brilliant people all over the organization, and have been humbled to work in and learn from many of them over the years.  Deep and hands on experiences let me bridge organizational divides, make connections, and hopefully turn great ideas that can’t find traction into ones that accelerate the pace of progress and make gap spanning results possible.   I live to find and execute high-impact ideas.  

In practice this looks like a strategic sourcing exercise that also generates patent-worthy innovations.  My perfect role is technical-forward and carries the mandate to improve product and process.  I've found my passion in outward facing technical roles in sustaining, value and supplier development engineering.
